about me

transforming from the inside out

temp image_crop1.jpg

I am a psychologist by training and a facilitator by nature. I’ve spent the last 15 years facilitating learning, healing, and self-actualization as an educator, coach, clinician, and consultant. Throughout this time, I’ve supported hundreds of clients through transformation, both personally and professionally.

I guide people and businesses in transforming from the inside out – to open their hearts and minds; to heal the past and transcend their challenges; to develop self-awareness, mindfulness, and consciousness; and to step into their full power towards self-actualization.

I traverse the scientific and spiritual worlds, bringing you a comprehensive, integrative, and practical approach to transformation. I won’t do the work for you, but I will facilitate a process to help you do YOUR work.

what do you mean by wellness?

Everyone has a different idea or definition when it comes to wellness. Some of us think physical health (including fitness and nutrition), some of us think mental and emotional wellbeing, and some of us think spirituality. All of these are correct, but only a piece of the puzzle.

WW defines wellness as both an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life as well as a state of being in good health and in alignment with one’s potential, especially as an actively pursued goal. Wellness is not simply the absence of illness, disease, or dis-ease, rather it is a dynamic process of transformation and growth. In fact, as the National Wellness Institute describes it, it is “a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential.” – that is, self-actualization.

Wellness isn’t just for people. It’s for businesses, companies, organizations, communities, and societies. Let’s face it, our world is full of illness and dis-ease. Our businesses and organizations simply reflect back both the community/society’s wellness as well as the individuals that comprise a business or organization – particularly the leaders who set the tone. That’s why WW also works with business leaders and organizations to help them examine their organizational climate and culture, heal and transform, and become the conscious business they strive to lead and operate.

what is wayfinding? what is a wayfinder?

Wayfinding encompasses all of the ways in which people orient themselves in a context and navigate through physical, social, emotional, and spiritual “places.” A Wayfinder is a supportive guide, assisting you in navigating your way through transformation and self-actualization. All over the world and throughout history, Wayfinders have learned to recognize signs and patterns to help them find their way. Traditionally, Wayfinders are associated with nature, the earth, and the universe; however, this skillset is generalized to all sorts of guides, teachers, healers, coaches, etc.

Our Wellness Wayfinders guide individuals and organizations and support them in transforming from the inside out. Be it personal or professional, physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual, WW supports people and businesses with healing, transformation, and self-actualization.

why the alchemy symbol?

The alchemy symbol is very intentional for this business and is a powerful message for the clients with whom I work.

The ancient alchemy symbols were born out of necessity – that is, a need to disguise the alchemists’ practices from the “traditional” methods of the church. The foundation of alchemical practice is based on inner transformation and the actualization of that transformation. That is, transforming base elements into something which, through a process, becomes more refined, renewed, and pure in its essence.

I also have a personal connection with this symbol. The book, the Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, “tells the magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure as extravagant as any ever found. The story of the treasures Santiago finds along the way teaches us, as only a few stories can, about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life's path, and, above all, following our dreams.”

The premise is, if you transform your inner self and set an intention, the universe will support you in realizing your dreams. This was contrary to everything I had ever known, been told, been socialized to believe by society, etc. But it’s true. And it’s powerful. I share pieces of my personal journey of healing and transformation throughout the resources found in The Well as well as in my downloadable programs and workshops.
